Chinechem Obi

I want to learn how to play a guitar I also want to perfect my violin skills I played violin for 5 years back in Nigeria and wanted to learn the guitar for over a year now, but I haven’t been able to play any instrument since I came here because it is too expensive to purchase I love creating music that people can listen to no matter the mood they are in.

I love playing instruments because I result to music when I am bored, angry, sad and even happy.

Endalle-Cassandra Toutou

I started out playing the piano at the age of 8 where I stopped Level 5, from then on I have been working on continuing my practical ear listening skills and music theory skills on my own.

I would like to produce music that can bend and intersect across many genres, something that many people can feel good about when listening to. My music will encapsulate aspects of Cameroon and Africa through a modern lens

Shori-Anne Clarke

My music journey goes back to when I was in grade 4, I had was really interested in DJ-ing and playing the recorder. I was one of the best players in my class.

Currently, I am learning to play the guitar and still continued with band to this day.

Kadija Tulloch

I play the piano In high school, I started learning to play the piano in a music class in high school, but I stopped because my family couldn’t afford private lessons.

I’ve always wanted to continue learning how to play the piano. I create gospel music.

Aman Michael

My journey to music pretty much started from when I was a little kid, and I used to listen to band arrangements and jazz songs half the time.

I still listen to jazz songs, as one of my ways to manage my stress with the whole COVID-19 thing.

Aman Michael

I’m a self-taught musician who has been singing and playing guitar (among a variety of instruments) for over a decade. I play in a band and have become more involved in production in recent years (especially at this time). My musical journey has been years of practical experience, building upon songwriting abilities, and enhancing self-production knowledge/capability.

Kelly Oguejiofor

I started playing the piano 6 years ago on the key C then I learnt to play the guitar and drums.

My musical journey has been great and I think I have it easier than some people because in 6 years I’ve learnt how to play on every key, I can play jazz, I only need to hear a song once then I can play it, I’ve also developed relative pitch.

It’s been a blessing. I would define the type of music I play or create as original because whenever I’m making music, I think about how I can bring out what I’m feeling into the chords so with every note, I can express myself.

Owen Imudia

I am from Nigeria and moved to Canada in 2019 and was unsure of what my future would be.

I have written a lot of music since I was 12 years old and sometimes I sing it off to my friends and families but haven’t really recorded.

When I came to Canada I was able to record and release a song with the help of my music teacher but since the pandemic I haven’t be able to record. Now I have to record at home and I dont have materials or equipment to do that.
